Here we are just beginning to enter the mountains. I think of all the things one can take photos of, Mountains are among the hardest...pictures never do them justice, because it is so hard to share size and details, but at least it gives you an idea of what we found! Enjoy
My first orange tree...lucky me.
We bought ourself some of this lades homemade treats.
There are many dried riverbeds throughout the mountains.... in fact we never saw running water in any of them at ll.
This was a hard drive....the road twist and turns suddenly and it was two ways, very narrow, with impatience people.
We drove to the Sea of Cortaz...truned around and headed back. All in all about a four to five hour drive.
I found some wind surfers. Used a telescopic lens and managed to capture some action.
Look how dry the mountains are when you get a close look. WOW
These roads make for a hair rising ride!!!
Desert Sand-Dunes on the Mountainside. This was in the town of Saint Bartholomew (Santos Bartholo)

Back on the Trail...A rain storm blew in...thunder, lightening and such!
Because we had two days of rain, everything is ready to burst into bloom.
Some great cactus shoot as we passed them on the mountains
Small town with cobble storm streets....and a cowboy riding on them with his horse.
These boulders made Dad nervous ...with nothing holding them but desert sand.
