Summer in the Chi

I have to keep this short, as I have to be at school in about 10 min. Dad, it's been really great having you join the blog. I love hearing what everyone is doing. However, perhaps now that you're on board, you could get your own account. It's not too tough to guess who writes what, but your posts always say "Mother Standring".

I and especially Vicky are jealous of your HOT weather. Just waking up it is 1 degree Celsius. UGH. We are at the same latitude as San Fransisco (Bloody weather currents). I think it's El Nino.

By the way Dad, Vicky's birth name is Vasiliki.

Vasillias? Where did that come from? you called her Vasiliki all last summer.

I love the pics of Noni's curls.

Also Caleb looks huge.... When did that growth spurt happen. He's almost as tall as his mom in their last pic.

OK really gotta go.

Love
Dan

Good Catch!!!!

To my "not so little cousin Daniel"

Thats a very pretty friend you have! ; )

Greetings from Miramichi, all my family

It has been an extraordinary spring. First, the river shed its' ice 4 weeks early in mid-March. I remember Daniel walking across the ice to the Gallants on his 16th birthday; you wouldn't do it this year son. Today is Easter Monday, it's been 26 degrees Celcius and sunny, pretty much the same as the past week. I'm sitting at the back window, open, trying to get a cool breeze. Image the first week of April and it's just like summer. This may bode badly if it continues as this is often a precurser to a bad fire season.
Got the front, 1 side and part of the back lawns raked today and carted away. Someone left a volume of old construction materials down at Turrels Point this past winter, so I started a big fire and burnt it up.
I spoke to Mommy today and am somewhat expecting her home in the next couple of weeks. I sure miss her. It's been a long winter without her even though I visited GP for 2 weeks in March. I have Mobile Crane and a Heavy Equipment programs beginning tomorrow, so it'll be a busy day getting new contracts up and running. I'll need to cut some deals for the rental of the equipment. Standard stuff for dear ol' Dad.
I saw Joe and Corinnas fetal pictures today. WOW, the profile looks just like Joe without a doubt. Gee, Joes the only one producing Standrings. Good work Joe. Your the man.
May the God of your Mom and Dad watch over each one of you is our prayer.

WOW

WOW ... I think this last blog is likely my only successful blog. It's so easy... just like falling off a swing.

Hi everybody. I'm an accomplished blogger. Here we are coming into the Easter Weekend. I started a chest cold on Tuesday so I'm looking forward to resting the weekend and turning this thing around.
About 2-3 weeks ago, after I got back from my GP visit I submitted more Global Home Exchange requests in the Kelowna area. Well, no bites. Guess we'll have to see what's next. In January / February I submitted requests within 200km's of GP. Anyway, guess we'll wait and see.

Congatulations Heidi and Kristopher

It is a pleasure to congratulate you, Kristopher and Heidi on the arrival of Naomi. What a tremendous blessing to have another wonderful grand daughter. I just know Mommy and I will enjoy your 2 BoPeeps. Hopefully some day we'll have some sheep for them to tend c/w a traditional black and white border collie. God bless you and the family God has placed in your care.

What to do now Skee?

From 3rd in the cub car races to being Jesus. JESUS!!! I can't wait to see how you follow this one up...

Scott-Isaacs reinactment

Today was The Stations of the Cross at Scott-Isaacs school. Due to the reverance of the program and ceramony, I did not attepmt to go as Hadassah is active at best in a crowd. Kindly, Corralee, a fellow mother in the school, took my camera for me. The pics are not of the best quality because the auditorium was darkend, and none of the ressurection turned out. Even so I have tweeked the best of them on picassa and posted them. I hear he did an excellent job, which I beleive, as Scott-Isaac never does anything halfway!!!!!

On a related note, I had planned to have Skooks hair cut this weekend..... He refused, being he was going to be Jesus wed and the longer his hair, the more authentic he would be. Then this morning I dug through all my old cloths looking for some white shorts I didn't know he needed as he needed somthing to wear after his clothes were "Rent" from him..... (he is lucky I didn't rent him having such short notice).
