Shot an Eagle Today

The crows chased him out of this tree.

I used my 200mm zoom lens...He was REALLY high up there
He soars toward the Miramichi river
Here he is before the crows gang up on him!

Bartholomew Joseph

A Poem for a Poet...Bartholomew Joseph
How he look so deep into my heart
and found the place, where he is always a part.
It wonderful to see that he knows his special place
and the love I feel, when I view his dear face.
Some people think five kids are to many
But the love I got back was, Oh so plenty.
You darling son was my number three
And according to science, should never be.
Then they decided that you should not come
I decided to have you, Oh my blessed son.
We proved them wrong for you were just fine
And better then that, you were ALL mine.
Such a beautiful baby, such a hansom boy.
You brought me such love and gave me such joy.
Now here you are with a son of your own
A wife and a job...well you are all grown.
Never a day that I don't pray for you
That God will bless thee in all that thou do.
I love you so tender and your such a great dad
You brought such pleasure, you make my heart glad
To think if I listened to science and all their advice that day
I missed out on your life, your love , you sweetness, and your say.
I love your dear family, your wife and your son
As your dear mother I feel I have won.
If I had a vision when I was a teen
Of what I would have or what I might dream
If l had looked down thought the bannister of time
Saw my whole life in the flick of a dime.
I would take it whole hearted, with out one doubt
Just knowing you in it, would me me shout
Shout with the joy of a mother's dear heart.
I glad darling Bartholomew that you are a part
Part of this family, part of my life,
you and you child, and you with your wife.
Kisses and hugs and poem for you now
before I turn into to really old cow.
Old and crazy and ranting and rave
But I will have you Joesph...as my own darling slave!!!
Lovingly Mother xxoxoxoxox

THANK YOU MY JOE & DAN

Thank you Joe that was a most blessed and wonderful poem. I read it with tears and of course...Joe being Joe, I read it also with laughter...especially the part when I get really old and don't make any sense!!!! I love you too Joe.

Dear Mom,
On this very special day, I’d like to extend regards your way.
First of all I’d like to say, I love you every single day!
Thank you for giving me life, that day must have been full of pain and strife.
Although I’m sure that not long after, your life was renewed with joy and laughter.
And long ago when I was just a child, you treated me tender, meek and mild.
Although I’m now sure you had days when you could have cried out in aggravation,
Instead you held me in anticipation,
Of a day when I would be so wise, as to remember the patience and love in your eyes.
And as I grew older and turned into a “know it all teen”, rarley ever were you mean.
Although I’m sure I had many of days, when you could have shown me the fally of my ways,
Instead you just loved me!
And now that I’ve grown up and moved far away, I know that you love me every single day.
I only have a few more things say, and that is when you turn old and grey,
I’ll still love you !
And if someday your eyes can no longer see my face, I will love you with all my grace.
Even when you get so old that you don’t make sense, I will still love you from that day hence.
And some day when you leave this earth, I will remember that you gave me birth,
And I will still love you!

With love forever,
Your baby boy.

HI EVERYONE..Notes to my Beloved Ones

Hello Daniel:

Sorry if we missed your call. I have been away the last few days. Another 'very sweet' parcel is on its way to you from mom and dad...blog us when it arrives...please. Was nice to hear from you we had been talking among ourselves saying how we hardly heard a blog from you.

I re-entered Joe's birthday messages....If you did miss them...you missed a great Birthday wish and CARD. I could not copy the card...but I LOVED it. So scroll down and FIND it.!!!

I am pleased you have enjoyed my Photos...I am loving the shoots soooooo much.

Heidi and Aunika are here...so I have a great photo subject now....stand by for amazing and eye pleasing and talented photos of one of my many beloved grandkiddies.

Hello Standring Family....(Queen, Joe, Caleb)
Corinna has gone and returned from PEI where she was to visist her Mom who has been battling Cancer, (We keep you in our prayers always my Queen)...she had a great trip. Caleb and Joe spent some of that time travelling to Jasper. They had a great trip. Joe I sure HOPE DANIEL sees that B-Wish...I thought it fantastic.

Hello Flewwelling:
Mark and Roxi have been through the ringer...Mark had hit a deer and in the Slumberberg way they assessed if he would or would not keep his job. All is well in the end and Mark was cleared. Scott-Isaac will need his Adenoids out sometime soon. He has chronic problems there. Hadassah is off and talking up a storm of brand new works this past week. Roxi has finished her Clubs for the year and soon began full time work with her respite job.

Zac & Beck
Isaac has been taking off lots of time..his over timed saved up days. He and Beck are working and planning for the wedding as it can take a year to do that!. Becky has had some sad news. Her daddy who has battled cancer twice, has new spots on his lungs...she is hoping to come home here to the Miramichi sometime soon to visit him and find out how he is. Becky...we have you in our prayer...and we are here for you in anyway we can be.

Kris is home alone....for 8 week...Oh poor dear Kristopher Robin...sad for him...but GREAT FOR ME!! (sorry about that gloating Kris) Your baby girl is adorable, and I will take all I can get...even if you suffer..a bit.

Dad is away this week at meeting...he hates that he is not here, because he knows.....that I will get the one up and befriend the granddaughter and I might get to be her favorite before he does. Ahhh we are soo competitive...but that makes LIFE so fun for us OLD FOLK!

I will post pictures soon of my girly, that is here.

Oh Dassi, Nana loved you new sock and new mittens too. Nana saw your video of you dancing...wows you are a great singer and dancer. You such a sweet baby girl...MOM will you give her a special kiss from Nana today. Thanks.

Had a great visit with Auntie "L"..she bought one of my point and shoot camera, so here hoping she began to blog more for us! Saw cousin Sarah Westall's new little fellow...sweet baby.

Hope the Phillips are filled with excitement as they move to there new home.

Aunt BeeBee awaits a visit from Heidi as does Auntie Joan.

God Bless all....Lovingly, As Ever; Mother Standring...xoxoxoxoxoxoxox

Happy 30th birthday Dan (the best littlest big bro a big little bro could wish for),
I'm glad it's you and not me, 27 works for me, in fact I'm just going to stop where I am, and next year I'll just be 27 with one year of experience. Yes, I'd choose youth over wisdom any day, only a fool would choose wisdom, that's why its pronounced wiz-dum because over the years the accumulated amount of times that you take a wiz makes you dumb. No that's not pee, its grey matter gone bad and turned yellow, think of that next you decide its time to 'squirt the dirt with the main vein' (as Dad says...Your a class act Pops).
In fact, the next time you go to the toilet you can do what I do, start imagining the 'Quickening' from the movie The Highlander and say to your self "There can be only one." I know that might not make complete sense (and even less sense to those who are not familiar with the movie The Highlander) but if you imagine the lighting striking you as you picture yourself holding a one of those double edged Highlander swords it can turn a regular, boring, run of the mill sort of day into thirty seconds of heart stopping adventure, which at your age should be plenty of excitement.
I love you Dan and hope this is a memerable birthday for you. Lord knows, at your age you won't remember much else!!

TO BROTHER DANIEL.....

Update

My Buddy and Me.

I haven't taken any new pics in a while, so here's an old one of me and my buddy. I have to say I've been REALLY impressed with Skee's artwork lately. I've been loving your photos Mom. Thanks to everyone for the B-day cards. I've received card from Auntie L, Mom and Dad, and The Wayes... I'm sure everyone else has theirs on the way.

I had the most disgusting medical procedure of my life done the other day. I was having an MRI don on my shoulder. In order to get higher resolution, they needed to inject some stuff into my shoulder socket!!!! Nothing like having the doctor wiggling a needle as it scrapes against your bones in order to get it into some cavity. uuuugggghhhh. Hopefully the images are worth it and I can find out what I can do to improve my condition. My shoulder hurts today like you wouldn't believe. I've gotta go... classes to plan, tests to mark etc.

I've tried to call some of you recently but nobody seems to answer...

Oh well, I'll call again

I'll see many of you in about 8 weeks WHOOPIEEE

Love
Dan
